Preparation for Urea Breath Test
Fast for at least 2 hours prior to the test.
No smoking for 2 hours prior to the test.
Ensure compliance with drug therapy:
STOP any antibiotics for 4 weeks before the test.
STOP Proton Pump Inhibitors, Bismuth preparations for 2 weeks prior to the test.
