CT Calcium Scoring Scan (Heart), also known as Coronary Calcium Scan, is a non-invasive way detect heart disease by measuring calcium containing plaque in the heart arteries.
Plaque is a build-up of fats, cholesterol and other substances, including calcium, which can narrow the arteries and reduce blood flow to the heart in which may lead to a heart attack
Plaque develops gradually over time long before any sign or symptoms of heart disease.

Your doctor will use your test results to determine if you need medication, specific procedure/surgery or lifestyle change to reduce the risk of heart attack.
